A letter to the Masters

Transcript:

" Montreal, april 20^th 2016 

 Dear Grand Masters and Masters, 

             The International Orthodox Wing Chun Federation values all martial arts schools and all practitionners of martial arts. It recognizes the constant efforts that this path requires in the struggle against ourselves to progress and transcend. We wish to express our respect and admiration.
  

            We reach to you today through this letter to expose a most deplorable situation which, without your collaboration, could become a great afflication for the world of martial arts in general.
  

            During the spring of 2013, many officials plotted against our master, Grand Master Nam Anh, and in his absence seceded from our federation. They took for themselves many of our schools whose management had been left in their care. Ruthlessly, they used our resources to create the WuXing Wing Chun Association (Wing Chun of the 5 animals). Since this act of high treason, Stéphane Goupil, Eric Villemaire, Patrick Fulop-Bourassa, Yannick Gravel and Kaykham Saliphod teach without having obtained their official diploma, having never completed their formation.
  

            Having in full conscience betrayed the trust of their master, they have participated in the last three years in many illegal acts against our school; vandalism, stealing students, hateful propaganda and diffamation are but a few examples.
  

           It is our duty to reveal the actions of the WuXing Wing Chun Association and announce their definitive expulsion and the withdrawal of their right to teach martial arts.

           With this letter, we wish to warn you to use caution in regards to these individuals. The great path of martial arts that we all seek to transmit to our disciples is sullied by those aforementionned. They might attempt to manipulate you by sending you e-mails under false pretenses, hiding behind pseudonyms such as Guy Roussy, Joel Brosseau and others. They create false profiles on forums in order to twist conversations to their advantage and sow discord.
  

        They also seek to discredit the relations between Grand Master and Masters of differents schools, attempting to damage relations that have existed for over twenty five years. Please view the following article for more information:

        The WuXing Wing Chun federation even goes as far as to question the skills, lineage, knowledge and even traditional martial arts itself.

          It is possible that you will be contacted by individuals claiming to be members of our Federation only for the purpose of creating tension between our schools. If ever such an occasion should arise, we would be grateful if you could warn us so that we may avoid any misunderstandings.
  

          We seek to prevent such events from happening elsewhere. Without our common efforts, how can we stop others from following in their footsteps? Thus, it is in the common interest of all martial arts schools to unite in order so that these individuals might stopped in their attempt to sabotage the beautiful values of oriental culture.
  

           We hope that our paths may cross one day under better circumstances.
