Wu Xing Wing Chun and the diplomas

In western countries, there are no legal orders whose task it is to ratify diplomas and membership, despite being an important professional discipline. This necessary responsability then falls on the shoulders of the master himself, or the leaders of a federation. It is thus that que qualities of loyalty, fidelity and integrity take all their meaning.

An association such as Wu Xing Wing Chun Kung Fu is an example of misplaced pride and the egocentrism of young people. They operated as small, independent schools under an international federation and decided, whether for profit or power, to secede from this federation and keep their franchise schools to themselves.

Because of this choice, the title of instructor and all rights associated are automatically revoked by the international Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School. Having failed to complete their professional training, lacking the necessary knowledge and without an official diploma from a recognized federation, these individuals cannot take on the full responsibilities of an instructor and cannot guarantee a safe practice for their students. Let us not forget that Kung Fu is considered a dangerous discipline through its study of combat techniques and other specific training that can lead to life-long injury when taught incorrectly. Knowledge of the human body and the science of healthcare of an advanced level is mandatory to reach higher levels of the practice of martial arts. Meanwhile, it is known that certain practitioners will choose to falsify documents in order to appropriate these titles for themselves and claim independence from any federation, despite their incomplete training.

It is imperative for new students to look for the diploma of the head instructor of a school – it is the only guarantee of their level and of the quality of the teaching one would receive in their school.

The honorific diploma

The honorific diploma is reserved for disciples having shown an unerring loyalty to their school and master. Throughout the many ups and downs of life, these disciples have shown that their devotion is unfailing and has been recognized by the master and the other disciples of the school.

In academia, Honoris Causa diplomas are given to personnalities who have been known to have a great influence in their domain. In England, some celebrities are even given knighthoods for their involvement in the great domains of art, science and social causes.

The great qualities of humanism, courage, intelligence, loyalty and perseverence are the basis for the honorific diploma in martial arts.

The professional diploma

The professional diploma is given to those instructors who have proven their technical level, the quality of their classes and their ongoing personal development. Since the status of master isn't necessary to receive this diploma, the professional diploma implies only limited powers established by higher instances of the federation. It reminds the recipient of his or her place within the hierarchy of the federation and their role towards their students.

In a society of laws and regulations, a professional diploma is necessary to assume the role of a practicionner of a restricted discipline. Professional orders, such as the college of medicine, the Canadian bar association, the order of engineers, and many more, require a diploma by a recognized university in order to attain membership. This guarantees the clients of such orders of the competence of the person they are dealing with.

Every student in these domains must pay for their studies and diploma, as well as partake in several internships (remunerated or not), pass very difficult tests and despite everything, wait until they have their diploma in hand before being able to practice in their field – or face dire legal consequences.

An individual that has a law degree but isn't a ratified member of the Canadian bar association is not a lawyer.

A third category of diplomas is given to those disciples of have received a very specific mandate to carry out in the name of their federation. Contrary to the honorific diploma, this mandate confers the necessary powers and authority to the individual in order to allow them to carry out their specific tasks.

The nature of the mandate is clearly specified on the diploma given by the high instances of the federation so that there is no doubt that they are supported in their mission and benefit from the full trust and cooperation of the schools' leaders in the accomplishment of their task. A Grand Master, or even a Master, can be mandated for example to preserve traditions, to open a new school or even to spread their teachings.

A mandate is usually also professional diploma.

Wu-Xing Wing-Chun and the odious treason of the century!

The Wuxing Wing Chun (Wing Chun of the five animals) federation was founded by individuals who know no bounds in the pursuit of their goals, going even as far as to commit truly immoral and reprehensible acts – all in the name of money and power.

            They did not hesitate to plan the betrayal of Grand Master Nam Anh (founder and head of the international Shaolin Wing Chun Nam Anh Kung Fu federation) when he decided to curtail their abhorrent, egocentric and unhealthy practice. They took the title of Master upon themselves and illegally appropriated their franchise schools by destroying the contracts that bound them to Grand Master Nam Anhs' federation (below: a copy of said contract that was saved from the purge).

1. DEFINITION OF THE BRANCH

1.1 A branch is autonomous and sustainable business establishment of a company. It has separate management with a certain autonomy and able to trade with third parties. Being a geographical extension of the main company, the branch has no separate legal personality and therefore cannot have its own property. Where a branch contracts, it is actually the parent company that is contracting.

The Court of Justice of the European Communities, in a judgment "Somafer" of 22 November 1978 (RJDA 8-9/95 No. 1062) indicated that a branch involves "an operations center which manifests itself in a sustainable way outwards as the extension of a parent body, provided with a management and materially equipped to negotiate business with third parties so that they, knowing that any legal link is established with the parent company with headquarters abroad, are exempted from dealing directly with said main company and may make business at the operations center constituting the extension of the parent company. "

If a branch does not necessarily exercise all activities of the parent, it carries at least the main activities.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

2.1 The technical and theoretical teachings of orthodox wing chun, orthodox Pei Mei, Chi Kung and Anmanatherapy are the exclusive intellectual property of the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School.

2.2 This contract authorizes the branch to teach the curriculum set out above at 2.1.

2.3 Labels and logos presented in the appendix, as well as the following terms: Shaolin Wing Chun, Orthodox  Wing Chun, Nam Anh, orthodox Pei Mei, Anmanatherapy; are the exclusive intellectual property of the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School.

2.4 This contract authorizes the branch to use the labels, logos and terms set out above at 2.3.

2.5  In the case of non-compliance of the contract or decision of the Directing Council, the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School can cancel authorizations mentioned above (2.2, 2.4).

3. DUES

3.1 The branch shall pay to the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School the following dues :

10% of the monthly income

or

A fixed monthly amount determined by the Federation

4. Financial Report

4.1 The branch undertakes to annually produce a detailed financial report to the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School.

4.2 The branch undertakes to disclose all financial information requested by the auditor of the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School.

5. TEACHING LICENSE

5.1 Instructors who teach in a branch of the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School are required to meet and comply with the organization's competence standards.

6. EXAMS

6.1 The obtaining of the grades is governed by the review system set up by the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School. The branch undertakes to comply with the system as well as the criteria for obtaining the established ranks.

6.2 Unless otherwise stated, examination fees should be returned to the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School.

7. SAFETY

7.1 The branch undertakes to respect the safety rules of the International Federation of Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School as presented in the appendix.

8. INSURANCES

9. APPLICABLE LAWS

9.1 Notwithstanding the place of execution and delivery of this agreement, it will be deemed to be accepted in the city of Montreal, Province of Quebec. This agreement will be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws in that province.

            In order to complete what they believed was the perfect crime, they plundered and sabotaged the electronic resources of the Grand Masters' federation, going as far as to create a blog under the alias Maître Lézard filled with articles containing half-truths and complete fabrications. In order to retain as many students as possible within their franchises, and to steal more from the main school, they decry their old master as a dangerous guru!

            A bold allegation that lacks the most basic logic. Why did they follow the Grand Master for 10, even 15 years, without ever raising a single objection? Is it then only fate that at the most convenient moment, when they could finally support themselves financially through their franchises, they suddenly awoke from a decade of stupor?

            For three years without respite, the image of the Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun School and the reputation of Grand Master Nam Anh have been the target of relentless and vicious attacks. The source of these attacks was none other than the blog of Maître Lézard, the pseudonym behind which these traitors chose to hide themselves. Throughout these long years, the Grand Master did not wish to retaliate against his old children, heartbroken that he would break something precious that he had created.

            All things have their limit however, and the Grand Master, at the bequest of the students who chose to remain loyal to him, decided to fight back against the traitors in order the restore the reputation of his school and his legacy.

            Behind each lie there is the truth!

            Does this not show pride about their heritage and their studies under Grand Master Nam Anh? Why then try to muddy his name and destroy his school by telling everyone what a dangerous guru he is?

            "... The fundamental principles guiding the organisation are respect, honor and integrity."

            One can only assume that no individual claiming to be respectful would insult his master thusly, the same way they would never insult their parents in public, much less abject defamation. Justice will inevitably find its way to those who were implicated with this betrayal, be it directly or indirectly.

            Let us not be afraid a shedding light where once there was obscurity by calling out to these individuals by their names:

2011 in a beautiful garden surrounded by greenery, a warm sunday night enters Patrick Fulop, eyes heavy with sadness and a great weight visible on his shoulders.

_Patrick:   Grand Master, please help me to get out of this mess or I will have to pay very high interests on the 50 000$ that I used! Grand Master, I will undoubtedly know how to repay you later!
_GM:   How did you spend so much money in only a few months? If I helped you obtain credit, it was to help you open a school, not to waste in such futilities. Do you throw money out the windows?
Patrick hesitates and lowers his voice to a barely audible whisper
_Patrick:   I gave 40.000 to Diana to pay her student loans and the rest we spent going out. I had no choice! She would've left me otherwise!
_GM:   Well, what do you want me to do for you my son? I told you from the start that banks make most of their revenues from interests on credit lines and that it was only to be used to open a school. If you don't take into consideration my strong advice, that you give in to the temptation of instant gratification, you will go into debt!
_Patrick:    GM, if you don't help me I must quit Kung Fu to find work in order to pay my debt or declare myself bankrupt.

            After this sad conversation that touched the heart of the old master, and an intervention from Eriv Villemaire (another disciple on the verge of poverty), Grand Master Nam Anh decides to support both financially.

            In 2012, Patrick Fulop obtains 250 000$ in credit from different banks and casinos. His girlfriend Diana obtains 70 000$ and Eric Villemaire another 200 000$. On his wedding day, before a reception mainly composed of students of the school, Patrick declares high and loud that he owed the greatest debt of his life to his Grand Master. Only a few months letter, in an open letter to the students of the school, he renounces his old master as a dangerous guru and betrays him to form the Wuxing Wing Chun association.

What a great politician!

Blindly, Patrick Bourassa Fulop applied Machiavellis' methods.

Unwittingly, Patrick Bourassa Fulop revealed the evil and ungrateful nature of life.

Against someone who knows too much.

Against someone to whom we owe everything.

The only solution was to erase him from our path.

Now that he has money, the wife he coveted, there was only the old master barring his path. He already imagined himself a millionaire!

Who are the Wu Xing Kung Fu association and where do they come from?

"The Wu Xing Wing Chun Kung Fu association was founded by five former students of Grand Master Nam Anh."

With this simple sentence, readers are misled to believe that the Wu Xing association is an offshoot composed of some of the best disciples of Grand Master Nam Anh, having himself been mandated to spread the great path of martial arts and its noble qualities.

Unfortunately, the truth is once again obfuscated. The founders, Yannick Gravel, Patrick Fulop, Vasan Selliah, Eric Villemaire and Stephane Goupil do not share the same visions as their old master when it comes to teaching traditional Kung Fu. 

They do not share the fundamental values that are essential to Kung Fu: Respect, honor and integrity.

At its most basic principle, the Wu Xing Wing Chun Kung Fu association aims to sabotage the cultural aspect of traditional martial arts, disregarding its rich teachings, noble values and lessons about life.

The proof of this formal accusation lies in the actions of the Wu Xing themselves, who unwittingly incriminated themselves as they carried out their nefarious plan; revealing that their true nature lacks any good conscience and human values. Throughout a blog spanning over 50 pages filled with absurd lies, gratuitous insults and vulgar defamation (punishable under the Canadian penal code), the Wu Xing, under the alias Maître Lézard, reveal their true colors as criminals and sore losers in the royal path.

If there was any truth behind the allegations made on the Maître Lézard blog then they would not be content to throw their mud from the shadows. If there was only but a shred of intelligence, the Wu Xing would realize that after 15 years with their old master, having attained no quality or competence, what could they hope to achieve but mediocrity? 

They would not try to stain the name of their Master.

We see clearly that, in the end, their true intent is to destroy the cultural heritage of traditional martial arts, the prestige of traditional masters and the noble qualities of the Art. To destroy everything in the name of profit.

Look closely at the actions of the Wu Xing! 

Do you see the respect for their readers throughout their hateful and vengeful blood?

If they had the least amount of honor, integrity and humanism, they would not have associated themselves with the the sabotage and plunder of their old home. It is important to note that these acts of vandalism and thievery were reported to the police.

Such individuals, grouped together in an association aiming to teach the youth a noble culture is indeed worrisome, if not outright troubling, never mind the fact that they are not recognized, qualified nor competent in the field of martial arts.

The Wu Xing do not have a professional diploma giving them the right to teach, nor to have insurance in case of grievous injury.

Unfortunately, rotten fruit will always fall before the time is right.

She could not bear the audacity of Hugo who questioned her competence during a theoretical course. Losing control, she brutally slapped him before the students present. This event was tolerated by Yannick, making him complicit in an assault under section 265 of the Canadian Criminal Code.

Whereas, since their departure in 2013, Yannick Khaykham associated maliciously to their companions of Wu Xing Wing Chun and hidden under the identity Me Lizard continue the publication of defamatory statements on a blog aimed at tarnishing the image of the School and at damaging the reputation of Grand Master Nam Anh, President of the International Federation of Wing Chun Kung Fu.

Therefore, the Directing Council unanimously decides of the definitive and immediate expulsion of Yannick Khaykham  with revocation of any status, privilege and belt.

The germ of treason

In 2012, when his newly installed branch located on Sherbrooke began to have a significant number of students, Yannick who felt the smell of money, aggressively engaged in student pick-up.  He even approached practitioners of mother school.  As an example, we explain below the case of two friends of Pascal Ponneau who had chosen to enroll at Yannick's school for proximity reasons.

Two months later, they asked to be transferred at mother school in order to follow the medical class available at the time. Unable to accept any loss of revenues, Yannick has repeatedly demanded that the girls come to his office in order to justify their departure. Meanwhile, his wife Kaykham kept discouraging their transfer by denigrating the medical course.  

Finally, Pascal Ponneau intervened to "release" his friends Melanie Breton and Sophie Pincourt from this embarrassing situation.  Yannick exploded in rage because of this undesirable intervention. He launched his assistant Philippe Lafortune in pursuit of Ponneau to give him a good beating.  This moral and physical harassment demonstrate the resentful facet of the couple Yannick-Kaykham as a result of their greediness & hunger for money. Here's another amazing story that illustrates the megalomania of Kaykham and the psychotic and dangerous facet of the couple.  Since Kay is an aggressive woman enhanced by a deep youth complex, she always tries to control her little man, the poor Yannick. She seeks to intimidate, to show her strength and power during the Kung Fu classes in front of students, especially those who are beautiful and strong.

Thus, one night of December 2012, she violently slapped Hugo Jasmin, a new student who dared to question her competence in front of the entire class. The irony is that after this event, Yannick explained to the boy the duty of a student towards his instructor and the correctional authority of an instructor. After that discussion, Hugo Jasmin believed that they were in the right and that it was thus in the tradition of Kung Fu!  

Since then, this story has become a sword of Damocles hanging over their heads.  In addition to other dark reasons this encouraged them to rush their betrayal.

After the complaint Hugo Jasmin filed to the police recently, they informed him that Kay-Kham could be recognized guilty of assault under section 265 of the Criminal Code and would be banned from Kung Fu once and for all.

The drop that overfilled the vase

From late 2012 until her sudden departure, the leader's council had received several complaints about Kay's abuses of power and unusual behavior in the Kung Fu classes and everyday life.  As a matter of fact, Hugo Jasmin's story shows her violent manners towards students who do not submit to her authority. But it doesn't stop there.  Annie Boudreau, accused of playing smart, talking too much during classes or wanting to take her place, was forced to leave school because of her majesty!

As a result, blinded by multiple accomplishments in 5 years:

She was able to renovate and double the value of her house from $200,000 to $400,000 by benefiting from free work performed by students.

She was able to quit her 25 years job as a little McDo waitress because of the new Kung Fu branch.

She managed to grow a branch of over 100 students because of mother school's support.  As she became a special and important person, Kay, chose to make the strange adoption of two tall and beautiful boys, Philippe Lafortune and Ali Mohammed who are almost her age!

Therefore, she was living the Dolce Vita. She was escorted in the morning by the eldest Philippe Lafortune to shop at Central Market while at night she was accompanied by younger Mohammed Ali to walk the downtown streets.

This whole charade doesn't go unnoticed!  Rumors were running in the school's office, corridors and changing rooms. The chairman of the leader's council convoked Yannick to give him a warning relating to his personal image, the prestige of the school and Kung Fu's code of ethics.  But for Kaykham this was the drop that overfilled the cup of bitterness.  This inappropriate relationship justifies war and betrayal camouflaged to fight for her freedom!

Ps: Now we understand why Yannick exclaimed: "If I stay with the Grand Master, my wife will divorce" .... one day I will return to offer him a nice gift!
